| The oldest stupa in VienTiane ... legend tells it was once covered in gold, which the Siamese took during the 1828 war. Another legend has it that the seven headed Naga lives beneath the stupa and protected the people of the city during the Siamese war ..... guess the Naga could not protect the Siamese from taking the gold however...... |
